Rev. Fr. Florin I. Bica was born on June 14, 1974 in Fagaras, Romania. He completed his elementary and high school education in his hometown. Then he attended the Faculty of Theology of Sibiu, Romania where he studied for 4 years, graduating in 1997. After graduating, Fr. Florin worked a high school teacher for 2 years and half. In 1999, he married Mariana Monica Cotocea and they have two children, Ana Maria and Theodore.

Fr. Florin came to the U.S.A in  2000. For the past ten years he has been working as a Medical Assistant at St Vincent Medical Center in Cleveland, Oh. As a Medical Assistant he is always among people in need, he listened to their needs and problems and he tried to help them.

Starting with October 2000, Fr. Florin became a Sub-deacon at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland under the spiritual guidance of Very Reverend Father Remus Grama. He  was ordained into the Holy Diaconate by Archbishop Nathaniel  of Detroit and the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and Canada on December 26, 2012 at the Dormition Monastery, Rives Junction, Michigan.

Fr. Florin was ordained into the Holy Priesthood by Archbishop Nathaniel at St Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, Cleveland, OH and assigned as an interim Priest at Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, Youngstown, OH on January 6, 2013. He served in this position for the next 13 months and then he moved to St. Mary Cathedral in Cleveland Ohio.

On August 20, 2015 Fr. Florin was sent by His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel  to temporally serve at the Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church, Hermitage, PA. On April 1, 2016 Fr. Florin was assigned Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Youngstown, OH.

During the weekend of September 17-18, 2016, Holy Trinity Church celebrated 110 years of existence. With this occasion, Fr Florin expressed his desire to teach, to serve, preserve and spread the true Faith here in Mahoning Valley, OH.
